The beginning of the 2023 NFL regular season is nine days away. Teams must pare their rosters down to the 53-man limit by 1 p.m. PT on Tuesday.

Here’s a list of players with Oregon ties who were cut according to various reports. We will continuously update our list of players with ties to the state of Oregon including former Ducks, Beavers, Vikings and former Oregon small college and high school stars who were cut by NFL teams during the recent days leading up and including today’s deadline, according to various reports and team announcements.

Austin was selected at No. 252 in the seventh round by the Buffalo Bills in the 2023 NFL draft. Austin reportedly impressed during training camp and preseason, but the Bills’ secondary is very crowded, too crowded for a seventh-round pick to earn a spot on the Week 1 roster. He could be a candidate for the practice squad.

Dye, who played his senior season at USC after four seasons with the Ducks, signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2023. Dye received plenty of action during the preseason, appearing in all four games. He ran 25 times for 63 yards and caught six passes for 30 yards. He lost a fumble in the Jets’ third preseason game against Tampa Bay. Dye could be signed to the practice squad.

Tre’Shaun Harrison, WR, Tennessee Titans (Oregon State)

Harrison signed with the Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2023. Harrison caught two passes for 34 yards - including a 23-yard reception - during the Titans’ first preseason game against the Chicago Bears. But he had just one more catch in the final two games.

Kampmoyer signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2021. He was signed to the practice squad that season and made his NFL debut in Week 17. He was among the final cuts in 2022 and signed to the practice squad.

Royce Freeman, RB, Los Angeles Rams (Oregon)

A third-round pick (No. 71) by the Denver Broncos in the 2018 NFL draft, Freeman seemed to be destined for a long career in the league. He was waived by the Broncos in 2021 and signed by the Carolina Panthers. He played in eight games before he was released. He signed with the Houston Texans a day later and finished the seasons. He signed with the Rams in March.

Freeman played in all three preseason games, carrying the football 13 times for 46 yards and a touchdown. He also caught four passes. Freeman was looking to earn the backup spot behind Cam Akers, but the Rams opted to go younger with second-year players Kyren Williams and Ronnie Rivers, along with and rookie Zach Evans.

Tyjon Lindsey, WR, Seattle Seahawks (Oregon State)

Lindsey signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2023. Lindsey appeared in all three preseason games, catching five passes for 54 yards, including a 24-yard catch during the Seahawks’ third preseason game against the Green Bay Packers. He could be headed for the practice squad.

Josh Andrews, OL, Philadelphia Eagles (Oregon State)

Andrews’ second stint with the Philadelphia Eagles was significantly shorter than his first one.

The offensive lineman signed with the Eagles on Aug. 6. He suffered an ankle injury during the Eagles’ 18-18 tie with the Cleveland Browns in their second preseason game on Aug. 17. However, he did return and played in the Eagles’ 27-13 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Aug. 24.

Andrews’ versatility – he has played at both guard and center - seems to give him a shot to earn a roster spot. He also played 16 games for the Eagles in 2015 and 2016.

Victor Bolden, WR, Houston Texans (Oregon State)

Bolden last signed with the Houston Texans in August but was released the following day. He has been a member – primarily on practice squads – of the San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills, Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions, and Denver Broncos.

Jake Hanson, OL, Green Bay Packers (Oregon)

(Green Bay Packers)

Hanson, a sixth-round pick by the Packers in 2020, played in 11 games for the team, primarily on the field goal protection team. He had one start, at right guard in last year’s opener against Minnesota. He also played in a game against the New York Jets but sustained a season-ending torn biceps injury.

Injuries have plagued Hanson’s career, including a shin injury he sustained during a preseason game against the New England Patriots last week.

Hollister was cut and placed on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury, and will likely miss the 2023 season. He has 83 catches for 707 yards and seven touchdowns over five seasons played with the Seattle Seahawks, Jacksonville Jaguars and New England Patriots since 2017.

Jake Luton, quarterback, Carolina Panthers (Oregon State)

Luton signed with the Panthers in July. He was No. 4 on the quarterback depth chart behind starter Bryce Young, the No. 1 pick of the 2023 NFL draft; backup Andy Dalton and Matt Corral during training camp and the preseason. He was viewed as a long shot to earn a spot on the 53-man roster for Week 1 of the regular season.

Mitchell, 31, reached an injury settlement with the 49ers earlier this month. The nature of the injury is unknown, but Mitchell wasn’t expected to play during the 2023 season. However, he could sign with another team if he is healthy enough to pass a physical.

The Jaguars released Mondeaux with an injury settlement after removing him from the injured reserve list. Mondeaux, 27, was placed on the list with an undisclosed injury that may have occurred during the team’s first preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Mondeaux spent time with the New Orleans Saints, Kansas City, Pittsburgh Steelers, and New York Giants. He has appeared in 37 regular season games and has 37 career tackles with two sacks and four tackles for loss.

The third-year player couldn’t break through at arguably the deepest position on defense. There’s a chance he could be signed to the practice squad, where he was in 2022.

Bennett Williams, S, Miami Dolphins (Oregon)

(AP Photo/Lynne Sladky)AP

Williams signed as an undrafted free agent. He was trying to earn a spot at a position of depth that includes two other former Ducks – Jevon Holland and Verone McKinley. Williams suffered an injury early in training camp. Williams and the Dolphins reportedly reached an injury settlement, giving Williams a chance to sign with another team if he can pass a physical.
